Chichester BID (business improvement district) is a business led initiative supported by government legislation which gives businesses the power “to raise funds locally to be spent locally” on improving a commercial area. A BID is created when the majority of business rate payers within that area vote to invest collectively in local improvements.

The BID is independent from local authorities and other statutory agencies and delivers projects over and above the baseline services provided by them but will often work with the local councils.

Place marketing that works

Working with the current branding in place we worked with the team at Chichester BID on town centre marketing to attract visitors and businesses to the city centre. Work included strategy, event marketing, website design and development, way finding, social media, public relations as well as B2B marketing in the form of communication to BID members and the local councils. We had a number of fantastic results including our Christmas Events Campaign being seen by over 77,700 people on Facebook alone in just 3 weeks.
